In the middle of the night, I saw a message on my boyfriend’s phone. “If you don’t have a girlfriend, will you like me?” He replied with one word. “Yes.” I handed him the conversation. After a long silence, he put out his cigarette. “I told you she’s just a colleague. Plus, I also promised that nothing would happen between her and me in the future. Isn’t that enough?” When he said this, there was no expression on his face. However, he did not even hide the disappointment and blame in his voice. At that moment, I realized I didn’t seem to know this man anymore.
