The pit boss noticed my dark expression and barely dared to breathe. “I’ll kick these people out right away. If you’re still not satisfied, we have other ways to make it up to you.” I smiled coldly and waved my hand dismissively. “No need. I want to see what other tricks they have up their sleeves.” Carter seemed to think he hadn’t gone far enough. He paid a hefty sum to have the video content projected onto the display screens. Uploading it to the dark web might even earn you back your money.” Lily’s eyes were rimmed with red, tears welling up. Zoe, standing next to Carter, couldn’t hide the glee in her eyes as she deliberately poured salt in Lily’s wounds. “Lily dear, why the long face? Carter is kindly helping increase your value. Shouldn’t you be grateful?” “The Lin family is clearly on its last legs. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a name for yourself. No matter where your family goes from now on, everyone will know who you are.” She laughed exaggeratedly as she spoke. All these years, people only knew the Lin family was wealthy. The two of them burst into raucous laughter. Seeing Zoe’s smug face, I suddenly remembered – she was the daughter of our former housekeeper. Three cards were pushed in front of Lily. She didn’t look at them, not wanting to give away her hand easily. Everyone at the table spent their days in casinos.
