The Forgotten Promise

My husband Chris enfolded his secretary, lovingly. His colleague sent me a creepshot of that and said, “You’d better keep your eye on her, Sophie.” I didn’t pay much attention to it. Because I saw that secretary’s face once in a company group photo Chris showed me. No makeup, no shining glow, quite plain among all those pretty girls. Chris had also complained to me countless times about her: “I’ve never seen someone so incompetent. She can’t do anything right.” “She looks so ordinary and doesn’t know how to dress. That hurts my company’s image.” His tone of disdain was still ringing in my ears. But later on, he beat her fiancé up and got detained for 10 days, all for her sake.
